Holistic Healing Therapies and Its Benefits

August 3rd, 2011

Most of us are familiar with the term “Holistic” due to the growing popularity and the need for good health. “Holistic” means the three aspects of the self – mind, body and spirit. It comes from the word “Whole” which means Complete. It’s a way of taking an all round approach to treat diseases or imbalances and choosing to lead a more balanced lifestyle. Holistic healing (or more popularly referred to as alternative medicine, Complementary medicine or Integrative medicine) is not an ‘alternative’ to medical care. These therapies are presented as options to conventional medical treatments. Seeking help from a medical professional should never be ignored. But what we fail to understand is that physical illnesses are the symptoms of a greater imbalance which may have a root cause in our thoughts & emotions. Some of the holistic therapies and treatments available are:

• Aromatherapy
• Hypnotherapy
• Regression Therapies like Past Life Regression
• Energy-healing methods such as Reiki, Pranic Healing
• Acupuncture
• Yoga
• Meditation
• Crystal Therapy
• Affirmative healing
• Chinese medicine and lots more! » Read more: Holistic Healing Therapies and Its Benefits

Holistic Health Care With Children

August 3rd, 2011

Natural health care is one of the best ways to keep your children healthy and heal current problems. There are fundamental problems that cause illness in children that are not recognized or tested by medical doctors. So many children suffer from food allergies that cause all kinds of painful symptoms. The most common allergies are wheat, soy, corn, and milk. I routinely screen for food allergies problems with all my patients. This causes all kinds of digestive problems, learning disabilities, ADHD, mood disorders, poor grades, fatigue, skin problems, and hair loss, etc.

Other common problems are earaches, lung congestion, infections, flu’s, colds, diarrhea. The best way to help these problems is to find nutritional supplements, herbs, and homeopathic remedies. This works amazingly well but will not have side effects. To give your child antibiotics and steroids only weakens their immune system and causes asthma, skin diseases, and chronic immune weakness later in life. I have seen thousands of children and the children worse off were the ones who took the most drugs. A child has a very immature immune system and natural remedies are usually strong enough to eliminate a virus, bacteria, fungus, etc. Drugs always have side effects.

As far as tubes in the ears I strongly disagree. The best method would be spinal corrections especially to the atlas and cranial adjusting to help the ears drain naturally. The spine is very important for children and they usually are out of alignment right from child birth, falling, being active, etc. Getting the spine in alignment works miracles for most children. This helps develop a perfectly straight spine, strengthens the immune system, and builds overall defense against disease organisms. Many children develop a scoliosis of the spine which is very sad since it can be avoided by a skilled chiropractor. I’ve seen thousands of children with a clean bill of health from their medical doctor and even screened in school that had a scoliosis. The specialized training that I have received allows me to identify a scoliosis in seconds without x-rays. I believe all children should be checked by an expert in spinal health (chiropractors) for possible scoliosis deformities. » Read more: Holistic Health Care With Children

What Are Holistic Healing and Health?

August 3rd, 2011

Holistic healing and health are terms often used, but what do they really mean? Most people don’t even think about health until it’s gone? Too often, they ignore warning signals that indicate impending loss of health: signals like pain, a drop in energy, or a troubling emotion to name a few. Could these signals be part of the process of holistic healing, pointing the way to health?

A Personal Holistic Healing and Health Instance

While talking to a group, my throat started to tighten and tickle. I coughed, my nose ran, and my breath quickened. I felt embarrassed and could barely focus on what I was saying. I had the good sense to excuse myself. Once out of the situation, I realized I was chilled and anxious. Both symptoms I had noticed but ignored earlier.

Then I remembered the meditation technique of calming yourself by focusing on your breath. I took a few deep breaths, and breathed into the tight spot in my throat. I sensed that I needed to let go of feeling responsible for the success of the group’s activity. After all, wasn’t each person responsible for her or him self? I silently prayed for guidance and continued to focus on my breath. Gradually, I became calm and able to return to the group’s discussion. » Read more: What Are Holistic Healing and Health?
